Palliative Care and Grief Workshop

    7 Hours of CPD
    By Dorothea Read and Dipti Tait

    Sunday 23rd October at The Old Rectory Clinic, Iron Acton BS37 9UQ

    The World Health Organization has voiced an opinion that, “expert, palliative and end-of-life care are a top priority for global health care” (Wu, Volker, 2011).

    In our ‘usual’ therapy practice we see clients who are ready, or nearly ready to address their issues. This is rarely the case in someone who has been given a terminal diagnosis. This workshop looks at the careful approach to developing therapeutic alliance with the client, It will also look to help you understand the stages people go through after a terminal diagnosis and the theory behind hypnotherapy for care of someone who is dying.

    This is a tailored workshop for a maximum of 24 people in a comfortable and friendly environment running from 9:30am - 4:30pm.

    The Course costs £75.00 and includes the following:

    • All accompanying training notes.
    • Certificate of Attendance - this event counts as 7 Hours of CPD.
    • A delicious locally sourced buffet lunch.
    • Refreshments mid-morning and afternoon.
    • Free parking.

Palliative Care and Grief Workshop we will cover the following points illustrated with case studies and examples where possible;

  • Brief Definition and History of Palliative Care
